A shell-and-tube heat exchanger is a device that consists of a bundle of pipes and a casing. Cold and hot working media move along different contours, and heat exchange occurs between them through the walls of the tube bundle. The working medium is water, air, steam, gas mixture, condensate, oil, refrigerant, etc. Throughout the entire heat exchanger, the tube bundles are separated by transverse partitions and end tube gratings to move the liquid in the desired direction. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are used in various industries.
